![]() It's like whose line is it anyway in terms of value, but it's quite rare we have nice posts here it seems. I'm taking a shot in the dark with this, I'll admit that. I'm not really an expert on prerelease software (too modern for my knowledge), but a lot of those had timebombs built in that either would run for 180 days, or would not work after a year or two after they were built. However setting up the BIOS date is needed. If I recall correctly it should have that on the desktop too in the bottom right corner after install what build it is if it's a prerelease. Well I got an Whistler ISO that ran fine and had no activation nor a timebomb, it's build 2419 from winworldpc. All I really know about that is that the licence agreement was for a 180 day trial. and I have absolutely no idea where the heck the beta stuff ended and the os stuff began. Either way, I got it from the very last link in the list.ĭoes that mean it's still a beta or is that the full-blown os? (I'm asking because I ran into a post in The River of Dumb. I'm assuming this means it is build 2542. As well as the standard Windows Server 2003, several other editions were built on the NT 5.
